Advantages of Dry Permanent Magnet Drum Magnetic Separator
Dry permanent magnet drum magnetic separator is the common and major equipment for iron and manganese. It’s a separator aimed at dry magnetic materials. Compared with the wet magnetic separator using liquid as diluent to improve the separation efficiency, dry magnetic separator requires dry materials to be at movable and independently free state, or it will affect the efficiency of separation. It’s applied to wet magnetic separation of magnet, pyrrhotite, roasting ores and ilmenite of less than 3mm as well as the deferrization of materials like coal, nonmetal ores and constructional materials.

Working principle of Dry Permanent Magnet Drum Magnetic Separator
After screening, raw ores enter from the upper of the magnetic separator through the distributor into the hopper and then fall down loosely from the upper drum. Magnetic materials containing iron will fall onto the drum fast by gravity and magnetic force and adheres to the surface of the drum. The non magnetic materials without iron will fall outside the magnetic materials by gravity. With the rotation of the drum, nonmagnetic materials will leave the drum and be discharged from the chute. Magnetic materials adhering to the surface will continue to rotate and will not fall until they reach the position without magnetic force and be discharged out of the belt conveyor. At last, composite materials are divided into ferrous materials and nonferrous materials.
